The Gospel
The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ. God created us to know Him and live in relationship with Him, but sin separated us from God (Romans 3:23). Because of our sin, we deserved death and eternal separation from Him (Romans 6:23). In His love and mercy, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, to live a sinless life and die on the cross for our sins (John 3:16). Jesus took the punishment we deserved and paid the debt we could never repay. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead, defeating sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). Salvation is not earned by good works, self-improvement, or religion—it is a free gift of grace. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8–9). When we repent, believe, and surrender our lives to Him, we are forgiven, made new, and given eternal life. This is the Gospel—the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16)
